Sport United Against Dementia

Dementia is the UK’s biggest killer, but for too long it’s been hidden behind closed doors. Too many people don’t know where to turn for support, forced to cope alone. **One third of people with dementia don’t even have a diagnosis.** Sport United Against Dementia (SUAD) is determined to change this. During World Alzheimer’s Month, we called for the UK’s leading sports and broadcasters to unite to tackle dementia. We brought together the FA, Premier League, LMA, DP World Tour and ECB to support our cause. And for the first time in the sector, our cause was amplified by the biggest sports broadcasters TNT Sports, Sky Sports, and DAZN simultaneously. Partnering with leading sporting organisations, at minimal cost to the charity, we reached an estimated audience of 15 million people with vital information about dementia, to increase understanding of dementia, reduce stigma, and help more people get a crucial diagnosis.
