Impact ‘25 is the RFU’s nationwide legacy programme for the Women’s Rugby World Cup, designed to accelerate long-term growth in women’s and girls’ rugby. We met new audiences in the spaces and communities that matter to them with rugby reimagined in fresh and welcoming ways:

• 60,000 females took part in T1 Rugby for the first time and experienced rugby’s core values
• Improved facilities in 500 clubs providing important basics (sanitary packages, toilets)
• Over 1,500 newly qualified coaches and referees
• 10,000 new girls at Girls Activity Days engaged with arts-based activities whilst yarn art engaged older demographics

The SROI of rugby sat at over £2bn in 2024 with IMPACT25 taking the sport and its values to some of our hardest-to-reach communities.

Long-term partnerships build sustainable change and strong foundations have been laid through our work with local rugby clubs, government and local authorities, commercial and strategic partners (Scouts, Girlguiding, Women Institute).
