Flutter’s partnership with International Mixed Ability Sports (IMAS) shows how a business can use sponsorship to drive genuine societal change. Mixed Ability sport, founded in Bradford, enables disabled and non-disabled players to compete together in mainstream clubs under the same rules, challenging long-held assumptions about who sport is for. In 2025, Flutter helped deliver IMART and the MAGIC fringe — a global showcase uniting 1,500 players from 25 countries and accelerating the growth of a proven inclusion model. Research from leading universities shows Mixed Ability sport improves wellbeing, confidence, identity and connection, while transforming club cultures and community attitudes.

Flutter’s role went far beyond funding. A secondee, skilled volunteers and specialist teams supported planning, storytelling, logistics and event operations, strengthening IMAS’s reach in the UK and internationally. For Flutter, the partnership reinforced our industry leadership, deepened trust with communities and brought our values to life for colleagues through meaningful, hands-on volunteering.
