Sustainability has been an important issue for many years at Lord’s, however the past year has seen a significant step up at MCC with sustainability at the forefront of thinking of all departments at the Club. Numerous sustainability initiatives have been rolled out in 2024 leading to huge cost, carbon and energy savings. After signing up to the UN Sports for Climate Action framework in 2022, MCC developed a Net Zero Strategy in 2023 leading to many of the initiatives completed by the Club in 2024 which will return both short and long term benefits.
