PLAYING FOR THE FUTURE

We have made pleasing progress against our sustainability targets, as set out in the FA’s sustainability strategy – Playing for the Future.

Since its launch in July 2023, and in particular through 2025, strengthened governance, financial investment, alongside invested teams that are catalysing operational efficiency, has helped us reduce our carbon emissions, significantly reduce our energy consumption, improve recycling rates and explore emerging topics, such as climate risk, deeper.

We have also seen the first positive results from our Greener Game partnership with E.On Next, which is grounded in supporting grassroots clubs to decarbonise, become more energy efficient and save on bills – money which they can then use to better invest in their community.

We believe sustainability is central to our purpose to inspire positive change through football and embedding sustainability across our operations is essential to building a resilient organisation.
