In 2024, Visa’s Declutter & Do Good campaign supported the launch of kitround.com – the UK’s first, dedicated pre-loved sports-kit marketplace. Aim: Extend Visa’s commitment to Women’s Football to all levels of the game by helping to remove financial barriers for girls to play football. Solution: Identified circular economy approach to make sport/football kit more affordable and raise money to give more girls a chance to play/access football. Visa incentivised David Lloyd members to donate sports-kit with trips to UEFA WCL Final in Bilbao. Team Visa athletes promoted buying pre-loved sports-kit on kitround.com. 100% of sports-kit sales revenue, including Visa donating £1 for every Visa card transaction on kitround.com, was invested into female-first grassroots sports programmes. Result: More than 6,000 pieces of sports-kit were donated and +£60,000 has been raised in the first three months since launch. Paid campaign reached 6.7m and our content was viewed +900K times (completed views).
