Grabyo, BT Sport Industry Awards 2017 Digital Platform of the Year Official Shortlister, has announced the launch of Cloud Producer – a browser-based production suite for professional-quality live streams.
Cloud Producer eliminates the need for costly broadcast systems and hardware, giving video creators limitless capacity for delivering interactive live shows across social channels such as Facebook Live.
With Cloud Producer, content creators can produce high-end live shows with multiple streams, live feed switching, live mobile video inputs, rich graphics overlays and animations, VOD insertion and instant highlights. The live production environment supports remote production and is also integrated with social platforms, allowing insertion of user comments, questions and polls.
Grabyo has forged strong partnerships and integrations with companies, including Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Twitter, Periscope and Snapchat.
Grabyo recently partnered with the Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) to deliver a remote production for the livestream of the 2017 CPL Draft on Facebook Live. Using Cloud Producer various pre-recorded video segments as well as live graphics were added to the stream on the fly. The event was streamed on the CPL’s Facebook page, resulting in over 616,000 views and generating nearly 100,000 video engagements.
“Rights owners and publishers want to reduce their dependency on costly broadcast production teams and hardware,” said Gareth Capon, CEO at Grabyo. “By launching Cloud Producer, we’re now giving content owners a versatile, digital platform for all their social video editing, distribution and live stream production needs.”
“We’re massively streamlining the production of professional live shows, helping content creators adapt to the growth in digital audiences, the need to build loyal fan bases and the opportunity to deliver livestreams with interactive elements,” continues Gareth Capon.
The company also recently expanded into the United States, opening an office in New York and hiring sports and entertainment executive Mike Kelley as president of the Americas. The company has already started to partner with several, prominent rights owners in the US, including BeIN Sports and Universal Music Group. Its premier client roster already includes La Liga, the English Premier League, BT Sport, Real Madrid CF, Wimbledon and Formula E Racing.
