Ireland retained the Six Nations title as they overcame a heroic defensive effort by Scotland in Dublin.
Dan Sheehan’s try either side of two Finn Russell penalties gave Ireland a one-point lead at the end of a cagey first half.
In the second half, Andrew Porter crossed to provide Ireland with clear daylight before Huw Jones gave Scotland hope. However, Ireland held on to win 17-13.
The result also ended England’s hopes of snatching the title from Ireland before they faced France in Lyon in the tournament’s final match.

Manchester United knocked Liverpool out of the FA Cup by beating them in a 4-3 classic at Old Trafford.
United had taken an early lead in the game through Scott McTominay before Liverpool responded with two quick goals before half time to turn the tie around.
However, Anthony made it 2-2 to take the game to a thrilling extra time with goals from Harvey Elliot and Marcus Rashford before a last-minute winner from Amad Diallo.
The result ends Liverpool’s chances of a quadruple and sets up an FA Cup semi-final between Manchester United and Coventry City.

Poland’s Iga Swiatek claimed another dominant win over Maria Sakkari to clinch her second Indian Wells title.
In a repeat of the 2022 final, the world number one produced an almost identical score, beating Greece’s Sakkari 6-4 6-0 in 69 minutes.
That secured a 19th career title for Swiatek, 22, and a second of the year having also won in Qatar last month.

WSL leaders Chelsea defeated Arsenal 3-1 at Stamford Bridge in a significant victory in the title race.
Lauren James opened the scoring before Sjoeke Nusken grabbed a brace in an impressive first half for Chelsea.
Arsenal pulled one back late on through Kim Little’s deflected shot, which went in off Catarina Macario, but the Blues claimed a fully deserved victory.
