Men’s sports fashion label 11 Degrees has signed up boxer Carl Frampton MBE as its latest brand ambassador in a multi-fight partnership deal.
The Northern Irish featherweight, who will defend his interim WBO title in Belfast next month, becomes the UK and Irish brand’s main boxing ambassador, joining a stable of sponsored athletes that also includes Superbikes star James Ellison.
Frampton, who will take on undefeated challenger Luke Jackson of Australia in a homecoming fight at Windsor Park on August 18th, will participate in a number of pre-fight promotional events for the brand in Northern Ireland. Above-the-line marketing space will also be activated in Belfast and Manchester.
During the fight, 11 Degrees branding will feature on Frampton’s fight attire and shorts as part of a new Team Frampton collaboration targeting “The Jackal’s” large Ulster fan base.
Commenting on the deal, Frampton said: “It’s great to partner with 11 Degrees. I have been a fan of the brand for some time and it’s a really good fit for me.
“It’s very popular back home in Northern Ireland so I’m sure my fans will be pleased with the partnership. I welcome them on my journey to becoming a world champion for the third time.”
11 Degrees owners Steve Kitchen and Andy Hayton said jointly: “We’re delighted to be partnering with Carl. We have been monitoring his career for quite some time and Northern Ireland is a strong market for 11 Degrees.
“We will be trying to engage with Carl’s passionate fans as much as we can during the partnership and it’s very exciting times ahead for the brand.”
