Close to 900,000 tickets have been allocated by FIFA for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, with fans from 188 countries receiving tickets.
626,000 of the randomly allocated tickets were taken by Brazilians, with America receiving the second most with 66,000 tickets and England receiving the third with 22,257.
This was the first round of the tournament’s ticket process with over 6 million tickets requested, close to double the overall amount available.
The next stage will begin next week when fans will be able to purchase tickets on a first-come first-served basis with 230,000 available to buy.
The following phase will begin after the official draw on 8th December when tickets for the high profile matches including the opener, semi-finals and final at the Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro will become available.
