A1gp Ceo Clare Tenders Resignation
David Clare has resigned from his post as CEO of the A1GP World Cup of Motorsport series to pursue new projects.
Clare will be leaving his position with A1GP effective on November 14th 2008 and will look to pursue automobile manufacturing, PR, marketing, motorsport and propulsion projects that focus on the Asian market through his newly created company Epimotor based in Singapore.
Clare is a 29 year motorsport industry veteran that has worked in all forms of professional motorsport most recently as CEO Asia Pacific for A1GP.
Previously he worked in the US as COO of Championship Auto Racing Teams Inc. and subsequently as Chairman of Champcar. He spent 9 years at Formula One Constructors Association during the period 1987-1996.
A1GP World Cup of Motorsport was set up as a rival series to F1 with all teams using the same engines and featuring national teams racing against each other at circuits all around the world.
