South African businessman Tony Teixeira, the chief executive of struggling motorsport series A1GP, has been linked to taking a major stakeholding in the new Campos Meta F1 team.
Teixeira had previously tried to enter F1 by buying into the Spyker and Honda teams, without success, and is openly keen about gaining entry into the sport.
Campos Meta, one of four brand new F1 teams for 2010, is looking into bringing an investor on board by selling part of the team according to reports.
A1GP has failed to run the first three races of its new season and it is unclear whether the series can survive in the long-term.
