Coca-Cola Championship side Queens Park Rangers have struck a lucrative two-year sponsorship deal with Abbey.
Abbey, part of the Santander Group, will become the club’s official financial partner in a further boost to QPR’s commercial portfolio.
The club has been on the up since being bought out by a consortium led by F1 team owner Flavio Briatore and has attracted a raft of commercial partners mainly due to the prospect of winning promotion to the Premier League next season.
The new deal with Abbey sees the development of a partnership, which will provide the financial group with a bespoke programme including joint branding at Loftus Road, access to players and senior staff and the use of club facilities throughout the year.
One aspect will be the ability to build with QPR a new element to Abbey’s corporate and social responsibility activities as well as exploring business and commercial relationships with the football club under a new ‘Business in Sport’ programme.
Velocity Sports & Entertainment handled all contract negotiations and creation of the activation plan.
