ADI has secured an agreement with the ABB FIA Formula E Championship to deliver screen solutions for the next three years.
A supplier since 2015, ADI has provided LED screen and production services across the Formula E race calendar. In Season 4 of the Championship ADI will supply all four European fixtures, starting with Rome this weekend, as well as Paris, Berlin and Zurich, in addition to the Marrakesh E-Prix, which took place on 13th January 2018.
2017 saw ADI’s delivery of large-scale solutions – incorporating mobile and modular LED screens, plasma displays, broadcast fibre networks and audio – to both the Paris and Berlin E-Prix.
The new contract provides Formula E with access a wide range of mobile LED screens and access ADI’s in-house design, development and manufacturing facilities.

In preparation for Season 4 of the Championship ADI custom-built a high-resolution LED podium which made its debut at the Hong Kong E-Prix (2nd and 3rd December 2017). Utilised at each and every E-Prix the podium delivers a promotional platform for brand partners while enabling Formula E to promote upcoming E-Prix’s to the viewing audience.
Nick Robinson, ADI’s screen rental director, commented: “We are continually pushing the boundaries and driving innovation so that we can provide clients like Formula E with cutting-edge concepts that evolve the live spectator experience, while offering powerful and pioneering digital platforms for the brand and their partners.”
“In a few short years we’ve significantly up-scaled our involvement with Formula E’s delivery of live events worldwide. We’ve demonstrated our ability to provide project-managed solutions and complex logistics internationally, not just for LED screen rental and ancillary services, but also offering the skills and expertise of our design and manufacturing functions to explore new concepts and create fully-customised products. We’re excited by the value we can add to the live Formula E experience in the coming years.”
