Sportswear manufacturer adidas has been named as the official clothing partner for Commonwealth Games England at the 2010 Games to be held in Delhi this October.

England will be sending their largest ever team to an overseas Games, with almost 400 athletes making the trip to India.

At the last Games, held in Melbourne in 2006, England were second only to hosts Australia on the medal table winning 36 gold, 40 silver and 34 bronze medals.

The Commonwealth Games takes place every four years and is the only opportunity for England to compete as a nation at a multi-sport event on the world stage.

Adidas is also the official sportswear supplier to the British Olympic Association and will be supplying kit to Team GB team for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games taking place in Vancouver this month.
