In partnership with global video messaging site Cameo, adidas has launched a new campaign to make some of football’s biggest coaches available to those who have ‘created possibilities’ in community football.

The Coaches on Call campaign will see a line-up of famous faces in the sport made available to record a personalised team talk for free for those who have gone ‘above and beyond’ for their football communities.

Jose Mourinho, Eni Aluko, and Xabi Alonso will all take part in the campaign, which will see the sportswear giant invite fans and players to nominate a recipient from all levels of the amateur game.

According to adidas, anyone who ‘deserves a bit of extra encouragement from the best’ can be nominated – from Sunday league squads, and five-a-side captains, to youth team managers.

“I have a passion for football at every level,” said Mourinho.

“You never lose that love for it at an amateur level especially, and I look forward to delivering some messages of motivation to those who are the foundation of the football community.”

The sportswear brand is the Official Match Ball Supplier for UEFA EURO 2020, and says it is celebrating the ‘unity and togetherness’ the tournament brings through its Uniforia match ball.

The Cameo partnership is part of the brand’s aim to ‘create opportunities’ for fans and players, coming on the back of its Uniforia Football Delivery Service, as well as its Seeing Possibilities campaign.
