Newly promoted Premier League side AFC Bournemouth have announced a three-year stadium naming rights deal with health insurers, Vitality.
Formerly known as Dean Court, the newly-named Vitality Stadium will host AFC Bournemouth’s first match of the 2015/16 season against Aston Villa on Saturday 8th August.
Additional to holding the naming rights to the 11,700-capacity stadium, Vitality will continue as the official wellness partner of the club and will continue to support the club’s Community Sports Trust.
A Bournemouth statement called the deal ‘one of the club’s most significant sponsorship deals’, yet financial terms of the agreement have not been revealed.
Rob Mitchell, commercial director, AFC Bournemouth, said: “We are thrilled to announce Vitality Stadium will be our home as we start the new season.
“With Vitality’s existing partnerships with some of the biggest clubs in the country, it’s an honour to have their support as we make our Premier League debut.
“Vitality also plays a very significant role in the town’s growing economy, not to mention its encouragement of local people leading healthier lives.”
Vitality is also the official wellness partner of top flight sides Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City, as well as a range of partnership deals in rugby, cricket and triathlon.
