Tottenham Hotspur has signed a long-term extension to its shirt sponsorship agreement with AIA Group.
The new deal will run until the end of the 2026/27 season, with AIA to retain its position as an official partner and front-of-shirt sponsor of Tottenham as part of the agreement.
Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed but reports indicate that the deal could be worth up to £320m over eight years.
AIA first partnered Tottenham in 2013 and initially sponsored the team’s shirts during cup matches. The company expanded the agreement in 2014/15 to cover all competitions and in 2017 AIA became Tottenham’s global principal partner.
AIA’s branding will continue to feature on the shirts of Tottenham’s men’s, women’s and academy teams. Tottenham will also continue to work with AIA to deliver a football coaching programme across Asia, with three members of the club’s Global Football Development coaching team having been based on the continent since May 2017.
Tottenham Chairman Daniel Levy said: “This renewed and extended partnership demonstrates the strength and success of our well-established relationship with AIA and underlines the positive impact we have been able to bring to AIA’s brand and business.
“We are proud to have the immense support of AIA at such a significant time in the club’s history. We shall continue to collaborate to drive the club’s and AIA’s growth in Asia and support AIA’s commitment to healthy living in its centennial year and beyond.”
Ng Keng Hooi, AIA Group Chief Executive and President, added: “The enormous popularity of the English Premier League and Spurs across our markets, coupled with the ongoing success of the club on the field, which culminated in the Champions League Final appearance earlier this year, make this an ideal time to extend our partnership. As the club’s global principal partner, we will continue to create many opportunities for our customers, agents, employees and local communities to interact with Spurs players, coaching and support staff.”
