IMG, the organiser of the London Triathlon, has announced that AJ Bell has extended its association as title sponsor of the event for another year.
Taking place at London’s Docklands on 6th – 7th August, 13,000 entrants are expected to take part in The AJ Bell London Triathlon in what will be its 20th year.
The event has triathletes from 38 countries already signed up to swim, bike and run across London.
Andy Knee, managing director EMEA of mass participation sports, IMG, commented: “We’re extremely pleased to be continuing our partnership with AJ Bell into 2016. We have seen first-hand their commitment to excellence over this past year, which has filtered down into their passion and dedication for the event and our participants. It is therefore fitting that they should be the title sponsor for the 20th anniversary of the London Triathlon.”
Billy Mackay, marketing director, AJ Bell said: “We were delighted with the success of last year’s event, so the decision to put our name to the 2016 AJ Bell London Triathlon was a relatively easy one. It really is the perfect fit with our branding strategy, which aims to associate AJ Bell with the idea of investing in a happier future – both in terms of increased wealth and better health.”
