SIXPAD has announced Saracens and England rugby player Alex Lozowski as its first UK ambassador, joining the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo in its global roster.

As part of the new deal the 23 year-old will wear the product range – the Abs Fit and Body Fit – to enhance his strength and conditioning work.

The fly-half joins the training gear manufacturer’s SIXPAD Athlete Support Project, a global initiative designed to support professional athletes with their performance through the provision of EMS (Electronic Muscle Stimulation) technology.

The partnership with Lozowski comes as SIXPAD readies its latest TV advertising campaign. The fly-half features in two TV creatives – a 30 second clip and a long form version. The advert debuted during the British and Irish Lions game on Sky Sports 1 on Saturday morning.

It will feature across a range of channels including BT Sport and ITV 4. The two TV spots will appear over the summer before additional one and two minute versions are included later in the year.

As well as appearing in the new TV creative, Lozowski will feature heavily across SIXPAD’s social media platforms to further increase awareness of the product and enhance engagement.

Lozowski commented: “After a game is when I use it most. I put the Body Fit on my legs. Covering up to 9,000 metres in a game, your legs get tired and you’re fatigued. Putting this on the day after a game just to keep myself ticking over.”

Tsuyoshi Matsushita, president of MTG Co., Ltd, the manufacturers of SIXPAD added: “We are really proud to announce this partnership. Alex had an incredible season and showed great promise for the future. He has a busy summer ahead of him and everyone at SIXPAD wish him every success in reaching his goals.

“Through the SIXPAD Athlete Support Project we hope to provide more UK athletes with the benefits of EMS technology.”
