The British Paralympic Association (BPA) and Allianz UK have extended their partnership through until 2020, including both the PyeongChang 2018 and Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

Allianz UK first partnered with the BPA in January 2016 as the team completed their final preparation for the Games in Rio that summer.

The extension complements the Allianz SE Group’s support of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) which now runs through until 2020.

Allianz UK will support the BPA with their preparations for Pyeongchang and Tokyo. The BPA will continue to support Allianz’s commitment to promoting inclusion, diversity, and excellence, both in the workplace and in the world of competitive sport.

Jon Dye, chief executive, Allianz Insurance commented: “We are delighted to announce that we will continue to partner with the BPA through until 2020. With ParalympicsGB’s tremendous performance at Rio 2016, the success of our brand building programme and Allianz’s continued support at International level, it was an easy decision to continue our support. The 2016 partnership was incredibly popular with colleagues and we are very proud to continue the association.”

Tim Hollingsworth, chief executive of the BPA, added: “Allianz have very much established themselves as part of the Paralympic family here in the UK through their work with us, a team of athlete ambassadors and their broadcast partnership with Channel 4. We are delighted to continue to develop this relationship as we look towards Pyeongchang 2018 and Toyko 2020.”
