Two-time Wimbledon champion Andy Murray has taken on the American Express Centre Court challenge, which put the Scot’s ball boy skills to the test.
The Championships, Wimbledon is the oldest tennis tournament in the world and returns this year with full capacity crowds after two pandemic affected years.
2022 is a special year for Wimbledon, marking 100 years since the move to Church Road, and the centenary of Centre Court. The AMEX challenge is a celebration of one of the most iconic venues in sport.
On the opening day, Murray maintained his record of never losing in the first round at Wimbledon with an encouraging win over Australia’s James Duckworth. The former world number one, now ranked 52nd, won 4-6 6-3 6-2 6-4 under the floodlights on Centre Court.
