Liverpool FC has appointed Verteda Ltd to install hosted integrated hospitality solutions, including contactless payment systems, at its Anfield Stadium.
The deal with Verteda, a stadia and entertainment technology solutions company, will see the introduction of InfoGenesis points-of-sale (POS), Epson TM-T88V POS printer series and VSS Real Time Stock Control units to support the club’s museum, tour and hospitality operations as part of the re-development of Anfield Stadium.
More than two hundred electronic POS terminals using the InfoGenesis POS technology from Agilysys Inc will be installed at Anfield, while further systems will be implemented when redevelopment work on the new stand is completed for the 2016/17 season.
Trevor Roberts, the sales director for Verteda, commented: “Verteda has consistently proven its abilities to deliver stadia-centric solutions and we are delighted our solutions will be enhancing the fan experience at Anfield.
“Verteda were selected following a detailed tender process during which we proved our ability to deliver at the level needed by Liverpool FC’s loyal fan base and the operational teams.
“With more than 50 similar stadium projects delivered across the UK and Ireland in the last few years, the initial project implementation at Liverpool FC will ensure an even better customer experience with delivery of innovative contactless payment systems across the stadium, along with an integrated real-time cash management and inventory solution.”
The new main stand at Anfield will incorporate an additional 8,500 seats once completed, taking the overall stadium capacity to 54,000.
