Heavyweight boxer Anthony Joshua MBE has announced details of a new business venture, AJ Boxing Management, which will exclusively represent all of his sporting and commercial commitments in and out of the ring.

Joshua has also signed a new exclusive three year promotional deal with Matchroom, ahead of his first Sky Sports Box Office event on 12th December at The O2 in London, where he faces Dillian Whyte for the British and Commonwealth titles.

The new core management team will consist of company director Seyi Alabi and commercial manager Freddie Cunningham, both of whom have represented and worked with Anthony in different capacities for a number of years.

The Olympic super-heavyweight champion, who is still undefeated after 14 professional bouts, commented: “I am really excited to be moving to the next stage in my professional career. It feels like the right time to take control of all my professional and commercial commitments with a core group of people who have been with me for a long time and I trust fully.

“I would like to thank my previous agencies for all the work they have put in over the years, I have learned a lot and hope to put it all in to practice with AJ Boxing Management.”

Seyi Alabi said: “This is a very important moment for Anthony, both in a sporting and professional sense. It certainly feels like the correct time for him to be launching AJ Boxing Management. We will work hard behind the scenes to make sure that commercially we can keep pace with his rapid progress in the ring.”

Freddie Cunningham explained: “Our remit will be to work with Anthony’s existing commercial partners and training team to make sure everything is being run to the highest of standards. We will also be responsible for seeking out new opportunities and business development for Anthony.”

To compliment his team the 26 year old has also hired sporting publicity agency SoapBox London to look after all his personal press and all media commitments.

Company co-founder Andy Bell added: “We are thrilled to be working with Anthony, he is in a small group of professional athletes who can truly transcend their sport and become part of popular culture and we look forward to helping him with his journey.”
