Anthony Joshua, who lost his heavyweight belts to Oleksandr Usyk in September, will star in a new Snapchat series titled ‘A Fighting Chance with Anthony Joshua’.
The Snapchat original series will follow the 32-year-old boxer as he returns to his hometown of Watford to talk about his past, uplift the lives of others, and mentor the younger generation of the community.
Joshua said: “I am really excited to team up with Snapchat and SBX Studios to create a Snap Original back in my hometown of Watford.”
“Giving back is incredibly important to me, so I can’t wait to spend time with my local community and create something truly phenomenal”.
Each episode will be at least three minute long and feature Joshua mentoring a youngster from the town. He will offer them a taste of the life or career of their dreams using his extensive network of contacts.
Joshua, who last month signed a career-long agreement with Matchroom Boxing, joins a list of high-profile celebrities who are being documented via Snapchat. Three-time NBA champion Stephen Curry will star in his own programme titled ‘Level up with Stephen Curry’. Additionally, social media sensation Addison Rae has her own series being constructed.
A Fighting Chance with Anthony Joshua will premiere exclusively on Snapchat in 2022.
