Vinai Venkatesham has been appointed as the marketing and sales director at Arsenal FC following Angus Kinnear’s move to West Ham United.
Kinnear, the former marketing director at Arsenal, was this week appointed West Ham’s managing director. Venkatesham will take up the newly created marketing and sales role having previously held the position of commercial executive at the club and will report to Tom Fox, the chief commercial officer.
Kinnear had joined Arsenal in 2004 and was a key part of the club’s move to the Emirates Stadium, prior to this he had worked at Coca Cola GB as well as P&G.
Karren Brady, vice chairman at West Ham United, said of Kinnear’s appointment: ‘Kinnear joins a strong, established team, already working on the stadium project which includes my marketing and communications director, Tara Warren, who continues to have oversight of this function. His primary task will be making sure we seek out and maximise the new commercial opportunities provided by playing in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.’
