Aston Martin has unveiled British professional cyclist Mark Cavendish as its first global high-performance ambassador.
The new relationship, which has been described as recognition of a ‘shared passion for performance’, will see Cavendish work with Aston Martin to deliver ‘insight from the world of high-performance sport.’

Cavendish, who has a record-breaking 35 stage wins at the Tour de France and is a ‘life-long car enthusiast’, will expand Aston Martin’s presence in sport and represent the British manufacturer of luxury sports cars at events.
As part of the partnership launch, Cavendish recently took delivery of a Aston Martin DBX707 at his home on the Isle of Man.

Mark Cavendish, said, “I’m excited to get stuck into this new role with Aston Martin. I’ve long admired the brand’s dedication to pushing boundaries, and now, to be part of that drive for peak performance is a unique privilege. For a car enthusiast like me, it really is a boyhood dream come true to represent the iconic Aston Martin wings. Together, I believe we can achieve something truly remarkable.
“I’ve been thoroughly enjoying the DBX707, it’s an absolute beast, handling the twists and turns of the Isle of Man with ease. They’ve even fitted it with a bike rack for me!”

Marco Mattiacci, Global Chief Brand and Commercial Officer, Aston Martin, commented, “We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Mark to the Aston Martin family. Our recent refresh of our core models has demonstrated Aston Martin being the best in class in terms of power, performance and ultra-luxury.
“Mark embodies our philosophy of being performance-oriented, and this new ambassadorial role adds to our existing avenues of communicating our brand’s peak performance credentials, including involvement in Formula 1® and creation of the ultimate hypercar, Aston Martin Valkyrie.
“It’s exciting to see Mark explore the power and dynamics of DBX707 on the Isle of Man’s legendary roads.”
