Aston Villa has confirmed a new main shirt sponsorship agreement with gambling firm Betano.
The two-year deal will see the online betting company replace BK8 as the Birmingham club’s principal sponsor from the 2024/25 Premier League season.
Although the value of the deal has not been disclosed, multiple UK media outlets reported last month that the new contract is worth £40m over its duration.
The £20m a year fee marks a significant uptick on the current BK8 deal, which is reportedly worth £12m annually, following Villa’s return to European football for this year’s Europa Conference League.
Currently placed fourth in the Premier League table on 66 points, the club is on track on once again feature in UEFA club competition next season.
The agreement comes shortly after Betano’s UK launch earlier this month through technology provider BVGroup.
The Kaizen Gaming brand is adding to its football partnership roster that includes this year’s UEFA Euro 2024 and Conmebol Copa America 2024 competitions.
George Daskalakis, CEO of Kaizen Gaming, said, “Aston Villa fans have a lot to be proud of in the club’s long and illustrious 150-year history.
“Their passion matched on the pitch by incredible players and management taking the club on the road to glory makes The Villans one of the most formidable teams in world football today.
“Aston Villa’s sensational on-field success in the Premier League along with their return to European football matches Betano’s own growth and continuing accomplishments.”
From next season, Villa has also been linked with a new supplier partnership with sportswear giant Adidas to replace Castore, according to numerous reports. The team’s co-owner Nassef Sawiris holds a 7% share in the German sports brand.
