Aston Villa Scores Sleeve Partner

Premier League football club Aston Villa has announced Asian betting brand Kaiyun as its official principal partner and official sleeve partner.

Kaiyun, a new brand to the European market, will see its logo appear on the sleeves of the first-team playing kits this season. 

As one of Asia’s top digital sports platforms, Kaiyun Sports provides a product that integrates sports and entertainment, providing a number of betting services.

Aston Villa Chief Commercial Officer Nicola Ibbetson, said, “We are delighted to be partnering with Kaiyun, a brand who share our challenger ambition.

“We look forward to working together, providing great experiences for fans.”

Kaiyun Sports Chief Marketing Officer, said, “Kaiyun Sports look forward to working with Aston Villa to write a new story of football co-operation.

“We will work together to create a safe online and offline interaction for users – a one-stop sports and entertainment platform, providing fans around the world with a top sports experience.”

The new deal comes at a time when British football is in the middle of a debate on gambling in football. The government has made a U-turn on introducing legislation to ban sponsorship of betting firms, but the Premier League has asked clubs to voluntarily reduce the business activity the teams engage with in the gambling industry.

Aston Villa recently released a host of new CGI images to illustrate its vision for the future of Villa Park, which includes a significant increase in stadium capacity.
