The Association of Tennis Professionals has announced it will increase the prize pot for World Tour 500 tournaments by 10% each year over the next five years.

The announcement came as part of wider calendar adjustment for the 2015 season including a three week gap in between Roland Garros and The Championships, Wimbledon.

Overall the prize money for ATP World Tour 500 events will increase to £19.1m from £10.9m. The Aegon Championships at Queens will also be included in this category from 2015.

The Barclays ATP World Tour finals are currently underway at the O2 in London where Novak Djokovic booked his place in the semi-finals yesterday with a win over Juan Martin Del Potro.
