The Association of Tennis Professionals has announced an extension of its sponsorship with Head, its longest standing partner.

Head, which first signed a sponsorship agreement with the ATP in 1994, has extended the deal for five years. The agreement will see Head continue as the official ball of the ATP World Tour and the World Tour Finals until 2017.

Brad Drewett, ATP executive chairman and president said of the extension: ‘Head is one of the most established brands in our sport and has been a great partner for the ATP for many years. We’re delighted to extend our partnership a further five years and look forward to continuing to build on our successful relationship.’

Ottmar Barbian, vice-president and division manager of Head Racquet Sports, added: ‘The continuation of our long-term partnership with the ATP strengthens our position as a leading brand on the ATP World Tour. We are proud to not only provide the racquets for several outstanding players in the top 10, but also to be trusted as official ball supplier to the Tour on an ongoing basis.’

Head’s extension follows the announcement last week that the Barclays ATP Tour Finals will continue to be staged in London until 2015. The ATP also announced that it had extended its deals with Barclays and Ricoh.
