Men’s tennis governing body the ATP is launching a global social networking
website, aiming to bring together the players and fans around the world.
The community site, www.30love.net, will
be announced by the ATP next week prior to the start of Wimbledon and will
enable users to blog, post pictures, and show video clips.
ATP players have agreed to post behind-the-scenes footage from the men’s
tennis tour on the site as well as exclusive interviews and pictures.
’30Love.net will be the online home for everyone with a love for tennis and
is the latest stage of our ongoing drive to ensure that sport remains relevant
to new and existing fans,’ said Etienne de Villiers, the executive chairman and
president of the ATP.
The site, which has been created by technology company 10Duke, will be
promoted at ATP’s 63 tournaments worldwide throughout the year.
