Jeep UK has announced that it has teamed up with former England and Leicester Tigers rugby player Austin Healey, who has become an official Jeep UK Ambassador.

The former England back who achieved 51 caps for England over his 14-year career and toured with the British and Irish Lions, is now a commentator and analyst on BT Sport.

As part of the partnership, Austin will be making appearances at various local dealer events where he will spend time with fans across the UK. Jeep UK is also now the sponsor of his weekly column in Saturday’s Daily Telegraph.

Austin Healey said: ‘I’m thrilled to be working with Jeep. We represent many of the same values including embracing the outdoors and adventure. I can’t wait to have some family road trips in both of these amazing cars.’

Nigel Land, brand director, Jeep Chrysler UK, added: ‘Working with such an accomplished sportsman as Austin is really exciting for us. He’s well respected in the world of sport and echoes our core values of adventure and challenging yourself. We’re really looking forward to the months ahead.’
