Babolat Signs With Badminton England

Badminton England has announced a new partnership with racket specialists Babolat, who becomes an official equipment and shuttlecock supplier across all of Badminton England’s community programmes.

Starting with immediate effect, the partnership will see Babolat shuttlecocks being used for all domestic tournaments and circuit events for juniors, seniors and masters, including the National Schools Championships.

Badminton England was named Governing Body of the Year, sponsored by The Daily Telegraph, at the BT Sport Industry Awards 2015.

Adrian Christy, Badminton England’s chief executive, said: “We have developed a very exciting commercial programme, creating fantastic partnership opportunities across all areas of our business.

“I am delighted to be able to confirm this agreement with Babolat, who will be making one the largest investments into grass roots badminton and who will become our first community-level partner supporting our programmes and competitions that are played by almost one million people every month.

“Babolat is a great brand and are a company that are really excited to be working with us to continue the growth and development of English badminton at grass roots level.”

Steven Chappell, Babolat UK’s badminton manager added: “We are delighted to have secured this partnership with Badminton England and will work closely with them to support grass roots badminton in this country.
