Speed Communications has been appointed by Badminton England to manage the communications for the Yonex All England Open Badminton Championships.

The 106th Championships will see players aim for Olympic qualification points ahead of Rio Olympics 2016.

Speed Communications will look to raise awareness and drive ticket sales as well as raise the profile of the game in the build-up to and beyond the Olympics.

Amanda Ellison, director of fitness and lifestyle, Speed Communications commented: “It’s exciting to be working with one of the largest national governing bodies, Badminton England, to take the elite game to the next level in this country. Following on from our recent success in securing the European Aquatic Championships this only goes to show our expertise in working with major sporting events which in the past have included the Olympics, the elite cycling Revolution Series and World Triathlon London.”

Gavin Finch, head of marketing, Badminton England added: “We are all very excited to be working with the passionate and dynamic team at Speed Communications as we continue to elevate the Yonex All England Open Badminton Championships. With the experience on-hand at Speed Communications we are confident about maximising the unique opportunities presented in this Olympic year and achieving our goals of raising awareness of the elite game, driving support of your athletes in the lead up to Rio 2016 and ultimately inspiring the next generation of players.”
