Badminton England has extended its partnership with Japanese sports equipment brand Yonex.
The deal, which builds on a long-standing relationship between the two organisations, sees Yonex become the official title partner of the YONEX All England Junior Badminton Championships and the YONEX All England Senior Badminton Championships.
The YONEX All England Senior Badminton Championships is a longstanding tournament which was staged for the 105th time in April this year with over 500 players from a total of 15 different countries competing.
Alongside supporting the events with all shuttle and equipment requirements, Yonex will also provide a stringing service and on-site retail environment to enhance the experience for players and spectators.
Sue Storey, Chief Executive Officer at Badminton England, said, “We are delighted to extend our partnership with Yonex who share our vision and values for badminton to be a sport for all.
“Both of these events will allow a wide breadth of players to experience top-class badminton and inspire more people to get involved in the game, continuing to build on what will be an exciting year for the sport as we head towards Paris 2024.”
Taiji Suzuki, Managing Director at Yonex UK, added, “Yonex is thrilled to further our partnership with Badminton England, encompassing both the Junior and Senior All England Badminton Championships. This milestone year, as we celebrate 40 years of title sponsorship for the Yonex All England Open Championships, holds special significance. We are excited to continue supporting and promoting the sport of badminton in England”.
