With less than one week to go until the start of the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals, which starts on Monday, Barclays has announced details of a number of new activities on and off the court that will bring fans even closer to season finale.

This year over 250,000 fans are expected to attend to watch the world’s top eight men’s singles players and doubles teams battle it out for the final trophy of the season at The O2 in London.

The ‘Barclays Arena Entrance’ experience will give fans the chance to feel first-hand what it is like to be a player and to walk through the iconic arena doors into a packed stadium. Participating fans can also win the chance to walk on court with the trophy following this year’s singles Final. Entry to the competition is via the experience in the Fan Zone at The O2 or online at facebook.com/BarclaysTennis.

‘Holding Court Live presented by Barclays’, hosted by Ross Hutchins and Rob Curling, will broadcast two live shows a day from the Fan Zone, one before each session. Ross and Rob will interview players and pundits, showing and analysing action for fans at the tournament, as well as being free to view for fans around the globe at BarclaysATPWorldTourFinals.com

The Barclays Ball Kids Fan Zone area gives young fans the opportunity to feel what it is like to be on court with the world’s best players through the interactive digital experience. Kids will also have the chance to pre-register for next year’s programme and learn more about LifeSkills created with Barclays, which helps young people gain the skills and experiences they need to enter the world of work.

Barclays will also be running a ‘fan seat upgrade’ in each session of the event. Two lucky fans will have the chance to upgrade to some of the best seats in the arena and watch all the tennis action up close.

David Wheldon, Managing Director of Brand, Reputation and Citizenship at Barclays, commented: ‘As title partner of the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals we want to ensure customers and tennis fans alike have an unforgettable trip to The O2. We are committed to creating fan activities like these that supports the success of the tournament which has established itself as one of the most popular tournaments in the world, with more than 250,000 people attending every year and many more watching on TV.’

To honour former ATP Executive Chairman and President, Brad Drewett’s contribution to the Barclays ATP World Tour Finals, Barclays has donated all 34 of their mascot places to the Motor Neurone Disease Association. The children of families affected by Motor Neurone disease will have the once in a life time experience of walking the best players in the world on to court, whilst raising awareness of the charity.
