Basketball Tournament Comes To The O2

British Basketball will stage its first major tournament in the UK with a three-day event at The O2 in London from 14th-16th August.

‘Game On At The O2’ will see Great Britain take on Israel and Turkey, plus Slovenia, their first opponents at EuroBasket 2009 in Poland in September.

The tournament will also feature several NBA stars, including Chicago Bulls’ Ben Gordon, who could appear for GB for the first time alongside his Bulls captain Luol Deng.

Said Deng: ‘It meant a lot playing at The O2 arena in front of our fans. It’s always a great feeling to put on the GB jersey and represent our nation in a sport that we all love playing.’
