The BBC will broadcast the new ŠKODA V-SERIES Women’s Tour, a virtual race launched by organisers of the Women’s Tour.

Taking place between Wednesday 17th and Friday 19th June 2020, the series will consist of three stages on the RGT Cycling virtual platform, and will support the charities Breast Cancer Now and mental health charity Mind.

Following each stage members of the public will have the chance to ride the three routes themselves and to donate to the two charities.

The event will utilise RGT Cycling’s ‘Magic Roads’ software which has allowed event organisers to simulate the routes.

The first two stages will feature classic routes from previous editions of the Women’s Tour, with a probable sprint finish taking place on the route of the 2014 stage to Bury St Edmunds in Suffolk, while Stage Two will replicate the finishing circuit from 2019’s hill-top finish at Burton Dassett in Warwickshire.

The final stage will take place around 35-laps of a one kilometre circuit in a virtual Canary Wharf – one of RGT Cycling’s ‘Real Roads’ routes.

Each of the three stages will be broadcast from 19:00 BST on the BBC Sport website, app and iPlayer, with commentary and analysis from Women’s Tour commentators Marty MacDonald and Olympic Champion Joanna Rowsell Shand.

The event will also be streamed live on the Women’s Tour website and YouTube channel.
