The BBC is running a TV advert for its coverage of this year’s Wimbledon tennis
tournament featuring past and present legends taking part in an ongoing rally.
The ‘Rally’ advert, created by Red Bee Media, highlights the history and
tradition of the tournament starting with British number one Andy Murray serving
to 1936 champion Fred Perry.
Legends featured in the promotion include Billie-Jean King, Bjorn Borg, John
McEnroe, Martina Navratilova and current champion, Roger Federer, all playing
against each other in a single rally set in the current Wimbledon centre court.
The 45 second ad ends with the strapline ‘greatness awaits’ and highlights
the BBC’s coverage across radio, TV and online.
