BBC Radio 5 Live has secured exclusive UK radio rights for Formula 1 for the next three seasons, from 2025-27.
The BBC Radio 5 Live, 5 Sports Extra and BBC Sounds will broadcast live race commentary including qualifying and practice sessions, starting with the Australian Grand Prix in Melbourne on 14th March.
1996 F1 World Champion Damon Hill is joining 5 Live for the 2025 season.
The team of presenters and commentators will include Jennie Gow and Rosanna Tennant presenting and pit lane reporting, Harry Benjamin as lead commentator, and Ben Edwards. Damon Hill will be joined by Sam Bird, Alice Powell, and Marc Priestley.

Champion Data has acquired UK based sports brand agency Works.
The acquisition of Leeds based Works brings together Champion Data’s expertise in data analytics and broadcast graphics with Works’ creative design and high-impact visual storytelling.
The deal sees the Australian data company add the Leeds based agency to its portfolio. Works has an extensive client list including FIFA and UEFA.
Works has worked on 57 World Cups and 35 European finals.

Formula E and Story10 have renewed their partnership to enhance global coverage of the Formula E World Championship for the 2024/25 season.
The agreement will see Story10 distribute race Video News Release (VNR) highlights content, premium shoulder content, driver interviews and behind-the-scenes features across Story10’s global network of broadcast channels and digital sites.
Story10 will also provide Formula E with detailed usage reporting, offering data and insights to refine content strategies and enhance audience engagement.
The current season commenced in December 2024 and features 16 races across 10 locations, including races in Tokyo, Shanghai, Jakarta, and Miami.

Formula 1 has confirmed that Stefano Domenicali will continue as President and CEO until 2029.
Domenicali, who assumed the role in January 2021, has overseen a period of significant growth and success for Formula 1.
