BBC Sport has retained the TV rights to The Masters golf tournament by securing
a three-year extension to its current contract with Augusta National Golf Club.

The Masters has been broadcast by the BBC every year since 1986 and the new
deal ensures UK coverage of the tournament remains exclusively with the public
broadcaster up to and including 2010.

The agreement provides the BBC with live television and radio rights as well
as additional online rights.

BBC also broadcasts the Open Championship while Sky holds the live rights to
the other two majors, the US Open and the US PGA Championship.
