England Rugby 2015, tournament organisers for Rugby World Cup 2015, has appointed BBH London as its creative and strategic agency to produce the advertising for the tournament, hosted in England next year. 

The BBH team, led by CEO Ben Fennell, is already working with the RFU on other projects, and the team will now work alongside Zenith who will handle the media business.

BBH has been tasked with developing the strategy and creative for a campaign to generate ticket sales and market the tournament throughout 2014 and 2015. According to the agency, the advertising will have a central focus on digital channels.

Fennell said of the news: ‘The task for Rugby World Cup 2015 is to sell the games, the tournament and the game of rugby. What a privilege.’ 

BBH will report to Joanna Manning-Cooper, director of communications and marketing at England Rugby 2015.
