Beckham Signs Global Disney Deal
David Beckham has signed a global sponsorship contract with Walt Disney to
promote the entertainment brand’s array of properties.
The deal, which sees Beckham join actress Scarlett Johansson and pop star
Beyonce Knowles as Disney brand ambassadors, will predominantly focus on
promotions for the company’s amusement parks around the world.
The first such activity will see Beckham cast as ‘Sleeping Beauty’s Prince
Charming in an initiative to promote Disneyland and Walt Disney “World’s year of
a million dreams” campaign.
The photoshoot, which also saw Knowles play the role of Alice from ‘Alice in
Wonderland’ while Johansson plays Cinderella, took place at Disneyland in Paris
earlier this year.
Beckham will leave Real Madrid for Major League Soccer side LA Galaxy in the
US at the end of the season.
