Betfair To Push Odds On Snapchat

Betfair, the international internet betting exchange firm, has confirmed it will start using Snapchat to let users know of all the latest odds beginning this weekend during the Chelsea v Everton and Crystal Palace v Manchester United Barclays Premier League fixtures.

The betting brand also announced that the first 500 customers will benefit from enhanced odds which will allow users to place a £10 bet on an enhanced price if they follow betfairofficial on Snapchat.

Betfair joins a growing list of brands who are using the platform including Southampton football club who became the first Barclays Premier League team to join Snapchat in December.

Mark Ody, brand director at Betfair, said: ‘We are hugely excited about exploring the potential of Snapchat as a marketing tool, and one that seemed a perfect fit for us as a brand with technology and innovation at our heart.’

Ody added: ‘Snapchat is a relatively new, yet rapidly growing social media platform, which I’m certain will play a huge role in the marketing mix of companies going forward. To be one of the first brands, and the first betting company, to make use of the platform is very exciting. It has huge potential for us as a business.’
