Betway Pockets Shoot-out Snooker Deal
World Snooker has announced Betway as the new title sponsor of next week’s Shoot-Out and World Seniors Championship.
The two tournaments will run back-to-back from Monday to Friday at the Blackpool Tower Circus Arena.
The Betway Shoot-Out runs from 4th to 6th March and will see 64 of the world’s top stars – including Ronnie O’Sullivan, Judd Trump, Mark Selby and John Higgins – in a fast version of the sport, with a last man standing format in the one-frame knock-out event – with the winner pocketing £32,000.
The Shoot-Out precedes the Betway World Seniors Championship, running on 2nd and 3rd March, which will see Steve Davis attempting to defend the title against greats including Jimmy White, Dennis Taylor, Cliff Thorburn, John Parrott and Mark Williams.
World Snooker chairman Barry Hearn said: “We are thrilled to welcome Betway on board for two events which have become firm favourites on the snooker calendar.
“The World Seniors is a fabulous celebration of snooker and great fun for the players and fans. And the Shoot-Out is all about dealing with the pressure of the shot clock and getting the crowd on your side. Both events make riveting viewing for fans lucky enough to have a seat in the arena, and those watching live on Sky.
“It’s going to be a fascinating week at one of Britain’s best venues for sporting events, and alongside the Betway team we’re look forward to enjoying every minute.”
