Beyond Sport Awards Entry Deadline Approaches

Entries for the Beyond Sport Awards, supported by Comic Relief, close in less than one week. The programme promotes, supports and rewards the best projects across the globe that use sport for positive social change.

Since 2009, Beyond Sport has had over 2,200 entries to the awards from 145 countries, awarding more than 150 projects for their innovations and social impact through sport.

The shortlisted and winning entries from each category will have opportunities for business mentoring and/or cash support depending on the category, whilst becoming members of an influential group of social entrepreneurs in the sporting sphere.

This year Beyond Sport has announced two new awards: UNICEF Safeguarding Children in Sport Award celebrating organisations that have taken steps to make sport safer for children, and the Barclays Sport for Employability Award, celebrating the work of organisations that are using sport to tackle issues of unemployment in the community/communities in which they operate in

The Categories open for entry in the 2015 Beyond Sport Awards, supported by Comic Relief are as follows:

  • Best New Project
  • Sport for Social Inclusion Award
  • Sport for Education Award
  • Sport for Conflict Resolution
  • Sport for Health Award
  • Barclays Sport for Employability Award
  • UNICEF Safeguarding Children in Sport Award
  • Sport Team of the Year
  • Sport Federation or Governing Body of the Year
  • Corporate of the Year

The winners of the Beyond Sport Awards, supported by Comic Relief, will be announced at the Beyond Sport Awards ceremony on the evening of Day 2 of the Beyond Sport Summit & Awards 2015 held in London, 19th to 21st October.

Entries for the Beyond Sport Awards, supported by Comic Relief will close on 9th July.
