The British Horseracing Authority has begun its inquiry into alleged corruption and illegal betting practices within horseracing.
Jockey Dean McKeown and trainer Paul Blockley are central to the allegations and are appearing before the inquiry panel this week with the hearings expected to last 10 days.
The pair, who deny the charges, are accused of being involved with laying bets on horses to lose in 11 races between March 2004 and December 2005.
Three owners, two former owners and two unlicensed individuals have also been accused of the same offences.
