The Bloomberg Square Mile Relay has confirmed its route for the 2014 edition of the annual race – returning to the streets of London on Thursday – with a limited number of team places still remaining.
In less than one week, the usual hustle and bustle of the heart of the city will be replaced by an extraordinary arena of sport, competition, team-spirit and excitement, as more than 1,000 runners take up the team baton.
This year’s race will feature more steps than ever, with other popular features also set to return. Check out the new twists and turns here.
The 2014 course will see runners start and end the unique mile at our Race Village in Guildhall Yard, making their way around the course of winding streets, along alleyways and up staircases before handing the baton to their waiting teammate.
The last remaining places are still available, and your company can join over 100 teams already signed up to be on the start line by entering your team now.
More than 100 teams will be competing for prizes, the coveted trophy and a £5,000 cheque for the charity of their choice.
Nick Keller, CEO of Square Mile Sport, commented at the launch of the event in May: ‘The Bloomberg Square Mile Relay is about fierce competition allied with camaraderie and teamwork, so it is fitting that such a strong group of brands are part of the team that will make this year’s event the best ever. I am sure with Bloomberg, Epson, Karrimor, Sport and Virgin Active behind them, this year’s runners will be faster than ever.’
Bloomberg has been Headline Partner of the Bloomberg Square Mile Relay for the past eight years.
