Online betting and sports betting service, Blue Square Bet, has announced it will be partnering with Absolute Radio in a new 9-month, six-figure sponsorship deal for their Saturday mid-morning show with Mark Crossley.

The tie-up will last for the duration of the 2012/2013 football season and will focus on pre-game betting and the opportunity to discuss live odds on-air and online.

In a deal conceived by Carat Sponsorship, the partnership sees the bookmaker named as the station’s first betting partner and aims to deepen Blue Square Bet’s brand values as the no-nonsense betting option – following on from its recently released ‘Enough Said. Just Bet’ ad campaign.

From 10.30am-1.30pm every Saturday, Mark Crossley will drive an in-show feature to promote Blue Square Bet live odds.

The betting brand’s Alan Alger will call into Mark’s show each week to discuss the days betting and live odds from the biggest games including Absolute Radio’s featured Barclays Premier League commentary fixture with Jim Proudfoot at 3pm.

Jonathan Sykes, marketing manager for Blue Square Bet, commented: ‘This exciting new partnership between Blue Square Bet and Absolute Radio heralds an exciting time for both brands. The Absolute Radio brand has established a strong identity of entertaining football fans every Saturday.’

‘We hope to add to the build up by giving the listeners the inside track on our latest offers and prices as well as inviting them to join our campaign to out the nonsense in football. As a no-nonsense brand that gets people straight to the bet we believe we’ve got a lot in common with Absolute Radio’s approach and look forward to working with them.’
